About the Musichorale Scholarship
Contest
In 1958 the group awarded its
first scholarship established by the
Willard Neely Family. Today, Helen Recktenwald supports this fund in
memory of her brother, Frank Stehlik, who was a long time Musichorale
member and who loved children. Four scholarships are awarded each year
to young musicians in grades 1 - 12 to help them continue their musical
studies. Each year these talented scholarship winners perform at the
Musichorale concerts. The contest takes place yearly on the last
Saturday in February.
